Winter Woodland snow globe

Advent Calendar by Torie Jayne
Today is the first of December and today the excitement of Christmas begins with the opening of the first door in the advent calendar.

Advent calendars originate from 19th century Germany, where they physically counted the days down by drawing a chalk line on the door, or more elaborate means such as lighting candles.
